The Green Talent War

Check out Planet Green's website for their recent article called Land a Green Job. There's lots of talk about the talent war these days. Who is going to win over those "Millenials" (born between 1977 and 1998) and become the employer of choice? Apparently, it's the companies that are green! And job search engines like are responding. Monster's new tracking database Green Careers searches job opportunities with environmentally friendly companies.

What do Millenials say about your office? Did your company make the list?

I love that our company is so involved in sustainable design...but I'm disappointed that more employees don't practice sustainable behavior on a day-to-day basis.

I watched a coworker throw a coke can in the trash the other day - horrifying! We have the facilities, we have the knowledge, now we just need to make sure people are walking the walk.

USGBC's National Capital Region website is also hosting a job posting area for green design jobs:

LEED on, USGBC, LEED on :)

I read in US News & World Report that the Hillary Clinton camp is calling these jobs "green collar" - very cute.
